Founder

Dario La Torre

• Based in Asia since 2012: Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, China and now UAE.

• He has obtained his Master of Science in International Management from Fudan University in Shanghai and Bocconi University in Milan (Double Degree) with a thesis on Global Supply Chain design.

• 6+ years of leadership experience as Jumia Global Chief Commercial Officer and Vice President in Alibaba Group (Daraz Crossborder).

• 10+ years experience in emerging markets: China, South East Asia, Africa, South Asia, Middle East.

• He has successfully managed businesses at different stages: 0 to 1, 1 to 10 and 10 to 100. Starting up businesses in new countries from scratch and scaling them up to more than 100 million USD a year.

• Investor in multiple ventures.

• Dario speaks Italian, English and Mandarin.
